The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, other chemical products imports rose notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 37% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Nigeria (X tons), distantly followed by Cote d'Ivoire (X tons), Ghana (X tons) and Togo (X tons) represented the main importers of other chemical products, together achieving 84% of total imports.
