Ghana (+4.6 p.p.), Nigeria (+3.7 p.p.) and Cabo Verde (+2.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Senegal saw its share reduced by -3.1% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Nigeria ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported particle board and similar board of ligneous materials (excluding wood) in Western Africa, comprising 64% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ghana ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Cote d'Ivoire, with a 4.7% share.
