In value terms, Cote d'Ivoire ($X) remains the largest plastic fittings for tubes, pipes and hoses supplier in Western Africa, comprising 59% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Togo ($X), with a 29% share of total exports. It was followed by Senegal, with a 5% share.

In Cote d'Ivoire, exports of plastic fittings for tubes, pipes and hoses increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Togo (+53.6% per year) and Senegal (-9.5% per year).

Imports into Nigeria increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Guinea (+24.8%), Mali (+18.2%), Togo (+16.0%), Liberia (+14.4%), Burkina Faso (+10.7%), Mauritania (+7.5%), Cote d'Ivoire (+7.4%), Ghana (+7.1%), Sierra Leone (+6.6%), Cabo Verde (+5.6%), Senegal (+2.9%) and Benin (+2.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Guinea emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Western Africa, with a CAGR of +24.8% from 2012-2021. Guinea (+2.9 p.p.), Mali (+2.8 p.p.) and Togo (+1.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Benin and Nigeria saw its share reduced by -1.7% and -5.5% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Nigeria ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported plastic fittings for tubes, pipes and hoses in Western Africa, comprising 35% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ghana ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Mali, with a 7.3% share.
