The following exporters - Cote d'Ivoire (X kg) and Mali (X kg) - each resulted at a 3.5% share of total exports.

In value terms, Senegal ($X) emerged as the largest lamp plastic parts supplier in Western Africa, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Togo ($X), with an 8.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Sierra Leone, with a 7% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Senegal totaled +96.5%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Togo (+21.6% per year) and Sierra Leone (+109.3% per year).

In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of plastic parts for lamps and lighting fittings, when their volume decreased by -16.3% to X tons. Overall, imports recorded a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 162% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, lamp plastic parts imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 153% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Cote d'Ivoire (X tons), Ghana (X tons) and Togo (X tons) represented roughly 60% of total imports in 2021. Guinea (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

In value terms, the largest lamp plastic parts importing markets in Western Africa were Cote d'Ivoire ($X), Ghana ($X) and Senegal ($X), together comprising 66% of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, Cote d'Ivoire, with a CAGR of +18.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
