In 2022, the export price in Western Africa amounted to $X per ton, leveling off at the previous year. Overall, the export price showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the export price increased by 127%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, polycarbonate imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a mild setback. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Nigeria represented the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which accounted for 86% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Ghana (X tons), creating an 11% share of total imports. Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
