In 2022, Togo (X units) and Nigeria (X units) were the main exporters of television receivers in Western Africa, together generating 56% of total exports. Ghana (X units) held a 13% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Senegal (12%) and Sierra Leone (7.5%). The following exporters - Cote d'Ivoire (X units) and Niger (X units) - together made up 5.6% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Togo (with a CAGR of +35.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Nigeria ($X), Sierra Leone ($X) and Togo ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 63% share of total exports.
Togo, with a CAGR of +23.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the export price in Western Africa amounted to $X per unit, falling by -18.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 106% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sierra Leone ($X per unit), while Niger ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of television receivers imported in Western Africa rose significantly to X units, picking up by 8.2% compared with 2021 figures. In general, imports showed buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 135%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, television receiver imports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a notable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 92% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
The countries with the highest levels of television receiver imports in 2022 were Ghana (X units), Nigeria (X units) and Cote d'Ivoire (X units), together resulting at 80% of total import. Guinea (X units) took a 6.3% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Mali (6%). Senegal (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Mali (with a CAGR of +37.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest television receiver importing markets in Western Africa were Nigeria ($X), Ghana ($X) and Cote d'Ivoire ($X), together accounting for 82% of total imports. Guinea, Senegal and Mali lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 9.3%.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Nigeria ($X per unit), while Mali ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
