Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, vegetable puree exports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 68%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Mali prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 96% of total exports in 2022. Togo (X kg) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Mali was also the fastest-growing in terms of the vegetable puree exports, with a CAGR of +34.7% from 2012 to 2022. Togo (-14.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of vegetable puree, when their volume decreased by -19.9% to X tons. In general, imports recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, vegetable puree imports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 42%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
