From 2020 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Australia (with a CAGR of +71.6%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X), Switzerland ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 26% of global exports. Singapore, Australia, Turkey and Argentina lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 1.3%.
Among the main exporting countries, Argentina, with a CAGR of +125.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average orthopedic artificial joints export price amounted to $X per unit, jumping by 148% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a temperate increase. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while Argentina ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, orthopedic artificial joints imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +26.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, global imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Aruba dominates imports structure, accounting for X units, which was approx. 90% of total imports in 2022. The following importers - Yemen (X units) and Curacao (X units) - together made up 5.8% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to orthopedic artificial joints imports into Aruba stood at -70.2%. At the same time, Yemen (+1,021.4%) and Curacao (+71.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Yemen emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +1,021.4% from 2012-2022. In Curacao, orthopedic artificial joints imports expanded at an average annual rate of +68.7% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Yemen (+18.6% per year) and Aruba (+39.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average orthopedic artificial joints import price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 254% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a significant contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 276% against the previous year.
