The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 20%. Over the period under review, the global exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
China represented the major exporting country with an export of about X units, which amounted to 38% of total exports. Mexico (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by France (X units) and the Dominican Republic (X units). All these countries together held approx. 18% share of total exports. The following exporters - Italy (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Germany (X units), the United States (X units), Poland (X units), Hungary (X units), Bulgaria (X units), Singapore (X units) and South Korea (X units) - together made up 27% of total exports.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +10.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Singapore (+11.8%), the Czech Republic (+10.9%), Mexico (+7.9%), Bulgaria (+5.8%), the Dominican Republic (+3.1%), Italy (+1.9%), Poland (+1.5%) and Hungary (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Singapore emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +11.8% from 2012-2022. South Korea, Germany and France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United States (-1.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+16 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+1.8 p.p.) and Mexico (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of Italy (-1.6 p.p.), Germany (-2.5 p.p.), the United States (-3.5 p.p.) and France (-4.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest circuit breaker supplying countries worldwide were China ($X), the United States ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined 31% share of global exports. France, Mexico, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, Italy, South Korea, Singapore, Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 45%.
The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +14.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average circuit breaker export price amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 8.5%. The global export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Dominican Republic (+7.0%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, global imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
In value terms, circuit breaker imports expanded slightly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 20%. Over the period under review, global imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

The United States was the key importing country with an import of around X units, which recorded 23% of total imports. Hungary (X units) took a 6.4% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Germany (4.7%). The following importers - the Czech Republic (X units), France (X units), Russia (X units), Brazil (X units), Indonesia (X units), Spain (X units), Turkey (X units), China (X units), Mexico (X units) and Canada (X units) - together made up 28% of total imports.
Imports into the United States increased at an average annual rate of +15.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Indonesia (+22.3%), the Czech Republic (+18.5%), Hungary (+11.8%), Spain (+8.6%), China (+8.5%), Turkey (+6.8%), Brazil (+5.9%), Canada (+5.3%), Germany (+5.1%), Russia (+3.1%) and Mexico (+2.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +22.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, France (-3.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the United States (+13 p.p.), Hungary (+2.7 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+2.5 p.p.) and Indonesia (+2.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2022, the share of France (-4.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported automatic circuit breakers worldwide, comprising 18% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 5.9% share of global imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 4.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United States stood at +7.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (+3.4% per year) and the Czech Republic (+14.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
