Italy (X tons), the United States (X tons), France (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Canada (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +204.3%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X), Belgium ($X) and Germany ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 53% share of global exports. In terms of the main exporting countries, China, with a CAGR of +201.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average biodiesel export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 53% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, biodiesel export price increased by +67.4% against 2019 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
