In 2022, China (X units), Poland (X units), Mexico (X units), Guyana (X units), Germany (X units), the Netherlands (X units), the UK (X units) and the United States (X units) was the key exporter of cargo trailers and semi-trailers in the world, making up 72% of total export. Belgium (X units), Russia (X units), Turkey (X units), France (X units) and Estonia (X units) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Guyana (with a CAGR of +116.2%), while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 27%. Over the period under review, global imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, trailer and semi-trailer imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +60.1% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, global imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

France (X units), Poland (X units), Australia (X units), Greece (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Sweden (X units), Denmark (X units), Lithuania (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
