The UK was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-refractory ceramic building bricks imports, with a CAGR of +24.7% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Bulgaria (+17.9%), the United States (+16.8%), Austria (+13.6%), New Zealand (+12.8%), Romania (+12.6%), Kazakhstan (+7.9%), the Czech Republic (+5.9%), Germany (+3.0%), the Netherlands (+2.5%) and Belgium (+2.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Canada (-4.0%) and Russia (-7.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, the UK ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-refractory ceramic building bricks worldwide, comprising 33% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 6.2% share of global imports. It was followed by the United States, with a 5.6% share.
In the UK, non-refractory ceramic building bricks imports expanded at an average annual rate of +25.5% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+2.9% per year) and the United States (+12.1% per year).
