The Netherlands, France, Poland, the UK, Italy, Russia, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and Japan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.
Poland, with a CAGR of +12.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average cocoa butter import price amounted to $X per ton, declining by -13.1% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, cocoa butter import price decreased by -20.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 58%.
