Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. China dominates exports structure, resulting at X square meters, which was near 69% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X square meters), comprising a 5.4% share of total exports. The following exporters - Turkey (X square meters), Poland (X square meters), Germany (X square meters) and India (X square meters) - each resulted at an 11% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to curtains exports from China stood at +3.2%. At the same time, Mexico (+17.8%), Turkey (+10.7%) and Poland (+5.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mexico emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +17.8% from 2012-2022. Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, India (-3.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Mexico (+4 p.p.) and Turkey (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while India saw its share reduced by -2.3% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest curtains supplier worldwide, comprising 50% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Mexico ($X), with an 8.8% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 5.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China amounted to +2.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mexico (+15.3% per year) and Germany (+0.1% per year).

In 2022, the average curtains export price amounted to $X per square meter, with an increase of 7.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The global export price peaked at $X per square meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

At the same time, Poland (+10.2%), Russia (+9.3%), the Netherlands (+6.0%), Canada (+3.8%), Spain (+3.2%), Italy (+3.1%), Sweden (+2.7%), France (+2.5%), Australia (+1.8%) and Germany (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +10.2% from 2012-2022. Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern.
