The shipments of the three major exporters of dryers for wood, paper pulp, paper or paperboard, namely Germany, Finland and China, represented more than two-thirds of total export. The average wood dryer export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, with a decrease of -10.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 49%. The global export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wood dryer imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Paraguay (X units), Indonesia (X units), the United States (X units), Vietnam (X units), Brazil (X units), Canada (X units), Russia (X units), Uruguay (X units), Norway (X units), Germany (X units), South Africa (X units) and China (X units) represented the largest importer of dryers for wood, paper pulp, paper or paperboard in the world, generating 64% of total import. Ukraine (X units) took a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Ukraine (with a CAGR of +31.5%), while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
