From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the global exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, fresh pork carcase exports reached $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. In 2022, Belgium (X tons) was the key exporter of fresh or chilled carcases of pig meat, achieving 36% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Germany (X tons), France (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Denmark (X tons) and the UK (X tons), together creating a 42% share of total exports. The following exporters - Poland (X tons), Russia (X tons), Hungary (X tons) and Spain (X tons) - together made up 12% of total exports.

Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of fresh or chilled carcases of pig meat. At the same time, Russia (+9.4%), Hungary (+9.4%), the UK (+5.0%) and Denmark (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Russia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +9.4% from 2012-2022. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-2.7%), Spain (-4.1%), the Netherlands (-5.1%) and Poland (-6.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
