The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The global exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In value terms, imines exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +92.1% against 2016 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, China (X tons) represented the largest exporter of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof, generating 34% of total exports. India (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by France (X tons) and Germany (X tons). All these countries together took near 32% share of total exports. Spain (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), the United States (X tons), Brazil (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), Norway (X tons), Japan (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

In 2021, the average imines export price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The global export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, the United States (X tons), distantly followed by Germany (X tons), Brazil (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Poland (X tons) represented the major importers of imines and their derivatives and salts thereof, together mixing up 42% of total imports.
