Indonesia (X tons) remains the largest leek producing country worldwide, accounting for 26% of total volume. Exports by Country
Belgium (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and China (X tons) represented roughly 52% of total exports in 2022. Spain (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 22% share of total exports. The following exporters - Mexico (X tons), France (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) - together made up 8.7% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +88.7%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest leek supplying countries worldwide were the Netherlands ($X), Belgium ($X) and China ($X), with a combined 54% share of global exports. Spain, Mexico, France, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.
Among the main exporting countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +70.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
