In value terms, the United States ($X), Germany ($X) and Thailand ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 18% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Nigeria, Canada, the UK, France, Poland, Vietnam, Spain, Japan and Indonesia, which together accounted for a further 21%.
Nigeria, with a CAGR of +48.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average balancing mechanical parts machine import price amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -26.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 12%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
