In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest mixtures of slag supplier worldwide, comprising 42% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Lao People's Democratic Republic ($X), with a 12% share of global exports. It was followed by Belgium, with an 11% share.

In China, mixtures of slag exports expanded at an average annual rate of +34.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lao People's Democratic Republic (+33.4% per year) and Belgium (-9.4% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the average mixtures of slag export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 7.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a notable increase. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of global imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, mixtures of slag imports reached $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +83.9% against 2016 indices.
