Turkey (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Spain (X units), Belgium (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), the UK (X units), the United States (X units), Japan (X units) and Denmark (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-domestic dryers exports, with a CAGR of +18.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, South Korea (+10.4%), the UK (+7.4%), Turkey (+6.8%), the Netherlands (+5.1%) and Italy (+1.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Spain and Denmark experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Taiwan (Chinese) (-2.0%), Germany (-2.8%), Belgium (-8.2%), Japan (-11.5%) and the United States (-13.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+30 p.p.) and South Korea (+2.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Italy, Belgium, Japan, the United States and Germany saw its share reduced by -1.8%, -4.5%, -5.2%, -6.3% and -8% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest non-domestic dryer supplying countries worldwide were China ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), together accounting for 47% of global exports. The United States, South Korea, the Netherlands, Japan, Denmark, Belgium, the UK, Taiwan (Chinese), Spain and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 38%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, South Korea, with a CAGR of +15.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average non-domestic dryer import price amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 8.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Global import price peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
