Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Thailand (+29.9%), Japan (+9.8%), India (+8.1%), the Netherlands (+4.5%), Italy (+4.1%) and Germany (+1.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +29.9% from 2012-2021. Belgium and the United States experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the UK (-2.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+7.7 p.p.) and Thailand (+3.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2021, the share of Belgium (-1.6 p.p.), Germany (-1.6 p.p.), the UK (-3.4 p.p.) and the United States (-8.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest organo-inorganic compounds supplier worldwide, comprising 48% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with a 14% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with an 11% share.
In China, organo-inorganic compounds exports expanded at an average annual rate of +10.7% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+1.3% per year) and Germany (+2.5% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average organo-inorganic compounds export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 35% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United States (X tons), followed by Argentina (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main importers of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds), together mixing up 43% of total imports. Among the main importing countries, Russia, with a CAGR of +13.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average organo-inorganic compounds import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 19% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
