The following exporters - Poland (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), the UK (X tons), India (X tons), France (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Greece (X tons) and the United States (X tons) - together made up 24% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to printing components exports from Germany stood at -11.8%. At the same time, Greece (+14.4%), Turkey (+8.6%), China (+1.9%) and Poland (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of China (+9.9 p.p.), Turkey (+7.1 p.p.), Poland (+2.7 p.p.), Greece (+2.1 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+1.6 p.p.) and Malaysia (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of the UK (-3.6 p.p.), the United States (-4.2 p.p.) and France (-5.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X), China ($X) and Switzerland ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together accounting for 44% of global exports. The United States, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, the UK, Turkey, France, Malaysia, India and Greece lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 34%.
Turkey, with a CAGR of +10.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average printing components export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 9% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, printing components export price increased by +69.7% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 35%. Imports
After two years of growth, supplies from abroad of printing components decreased by -35.1% to X tons in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 26%. Over the period under review, global imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, printing components imports fell notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 12%. Global imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Nigeria (X tons), followed by India (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Palestine (X tons) represented the major importers of printing components, together making up 51% of total imports. The following importers - Malaysia (X tons), Russia (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Austria (X tons), Switzerland (X tons), France (X tons) and Italy (X tons) - together made up 16% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Nigeria (with a CAGR of +42.8%), while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
