The global exports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, motor vehicle radiator exports rose significantly to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 24%. Over the period under review, the global exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

China represented the main exporting country with an export of around X units, which amounted to 26% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units) held a 9.9% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the United States (7.5%), Germany (7.2%), Poland (7.2%) and Mexico (4.8%). Slovakia (X units), Spain (X units), France (X units), Romania (X units), Sweden (X units), Japan (X units) and the UK (X units) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to motor vehicle radiator exports from China stood at +3.6%. At the same time, Slovakia (+14.1%), the Czech Republic (+6.1%), Sweden (+4.9%), Mexico (+4.5%), Romania (+4.2%) and Poland (+1.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Slovakia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +14.1% from 2012-2022. The United States and Spain experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-1.9%), Germany (-2.3%), the UK (-2.3%) and France (-3.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, global imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Germany (X units), followed by the United States (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) represented the major importers of radiators for motor vehicles, together creating 31% of total imports.
