Over the period under review, the global exports reached the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, vehicle radio exports expanded sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The global exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Mexico (X units) and China (X units) represented the main exporters of radio receivers for motor vehiclesaround the world, together amounting to approx. 57% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X units), the United States (X units), Hungary (X units) and India (X units), together achieving a 28% share of total exports. Malaysia (X units) took a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +36.6%), while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the largest vehicle radio supplier worldwide, comprising 39% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with a 14% share of global exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Mexico amounted to +28.1%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (-8.0% per year) and Thailand (-0.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average vehicle radio export price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 1.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 24%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

In general, total imports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +16.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 27% against the previous year. The United States (X units) and India (X units) represented roughly 51% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Canada (X units), constituting a 6.2% share of total imports. The following importers - Hungary (X units), Japan (X units), Germany (X units), Brazil (X units), Argentina (X units), Romania (X units), Spain (X units), China (X units) and Poland (X units) - together made up 27% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +67.7%), while imports for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported radio receivers for motor vehicles worldwide, comprising 40% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 9% share of global imports. It was followed by Canada, with an 8.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in the United States amounted to +23.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+6.3% per year) and Canada (-8.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average vehicle radio import price amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -6.3% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
