From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of +20.1%), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest rum supplying countries worldwide were Italy ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and the United States ($X), together comprising 33% of global exports.

The average rum import price stood at $X per litre in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 6.1%.
