China dominates exports structure, accounting for X units, which was near 60% of total exports in 2021. The following exporters - the United States (X units), Germany (X units), France (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), India (X units), Italy (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Poland (X units) and Spain (X units) - together made up 24% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Netherlands (+17.6%), Spain (+14.0%), India (+10.3%), Poland (+9.8%), Italy (+9.2%), France (+8.3%), Germany (+7.9%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +17.6% from 2012-2021. By contrast, the United States (-4.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+2.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2021, the share of the United States (-5.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest safety headgear supplier worldwide, comprising 41% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 7.2% share of global exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 6.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China stood at +10.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (+7.7% per year) and Italy (+6.5% per year).

These countries were followed by the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Italy, Canada, Poland, Belgium, Mexico, the Philippines and Russia, which together accounted for a further 30%.

The Philippines, with a CAGR of +21.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
