China dominates exports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near 73% of total exports in 2021. Germany (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Italy (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Netherlands (+9.3%), Italy (+2.4%) and Germany (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +9.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Taiwan (Chinese) (-1.8%) and Poland (-3.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+14 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while Poland and Taiwan (Chinese) saw its share reduced by -1.6% and -2.7% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest iron or steel sanitary ware supplier worldwide, comprising 62% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with an 8.4% share of global exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 3.9% share.
In China, iron or steel sanitary ware exports expanded at an average annual rate of +12.8% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+3.0% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+0.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for sanitary ware and parts of iron or steel stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 4.6% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 7.5%. The global export price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Imports by Country
In 2021, the United States (X tons), distantly followed by Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) represented the largest importers of sanitary ware and parts of iron or steel, together achieving 28% of total imports. The following importers - France (X tons), the UK (X tons), Russia (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons), South Korea (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Italy (X tons), Spain (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) - together made up 24% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to iron or steel sanitary ware imports into the United States stood at +7.1%. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +16.1% from 2012-2021. The UK, Germany and South Korea experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of the United States (+5.3 p.p.) and France (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2012-2021, the share of Germany (-1.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest iron or steel sanitary ware importing markets worldwide were the United States ($X), Germany ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), together comprising 27% of global imports. The UK, France, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Russia and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.
Thailand, with a CAGR of +15.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for sanitary ware and parts of iron or steel stood at $X per ton in 2021, reducing by -1.8% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 7.8%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2021, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
