The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +87.1% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 44%. The global exports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

China dominates exports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near 64% of total exports in 2021. The following exporters - Vietnam (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Italy (X tons), Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) - together made up 20% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+14.7%), the Netherlands (+10.7%), Poland (+10.5%), Germany (+6.0%), Turkey (+4.1%) and Italy (+2.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +14.7% from 2012-2021. China (+2.8 p.p.) and Vietnam (+2.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest seat supplier worldwide, comprising 47% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 9.2% share of global exports. It was followed by Poland, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China amounted to +6.2%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+23.1% per year) and Poland (+8.0% per year).

The average seat export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 4.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 15%. The global export price peaked at $X per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +18.4% from 2012-2021.
