Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +32.7% from 2012-2021. By contrast, France (-1.2%) and the United States (-2.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of China and the Netherlands increased by +24 and +2.4 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest titanium dioxide pigments supplier worldwide, comprising 44% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with an 8.9% share of global exports. It was followed by Belgium, with an 8.1% share.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, global imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
