Uzbekistan (X pairs), Indonesia (X pairs), Ecuador (X pairs), Russia (X pairs), Poland (X pairs) and Germany (X pairs) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Indonesia (+22.4%), Poland (+14.2%), Ecuador (+13.9%) and Germany (+5.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Indonesia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +22.4% from 2012-2022. Italy and Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-4.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Uzbekistan and Indonesia increased by +3.3 and +2.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest waterproof footwear supplier worldwide, comprising 47% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 7.1% share of global exports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 4.9% share.

The average waterproof footwear import price stood at $X per pair in 2022, surging by 2.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 9.4% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per pair. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
